# 1018
Contemplating the Leap Off Abrams Falls
6" x 8"
Encaustic and Photography on Wood
$144
Waterfalls are a perfect subject to paint with wax being white
yet also translucent. The tiny figure is also sculpted in wax.
When this photo was taken there was a man standing and observing
the falls. He then climbed to the top and leaped off. He made it
safely but this is highly discouraged. Abrams Falls is one of
the most popular hiking destinations in the Great Smoky
Mountains.
