This painting won the New Genre Award at the A1LabArts Insider Art Exhibition by the Knoxville Museum of Art. While encaustic is an ancient art, the method of its use here is unique. Two figures were seen in the grain of this wooden panel. The knots became their heads. The color palette used is from Van Gogh's Starry Starry Night.  Light beings are described in Michael Talbot's book "The Holographic Universe". Many layers of paint are applied to create this vibrant scene.
