Artist Neranza Blount is a Knoxville native and received her Fine Arts degree from the University of Tennessee in 1976.

Neranza has received top awards for her works of art nationally and internationally. Her works are in private and corporate collections in the U.S. and abroad. She has lived in various European locales, but has always been entranced by the unique beauty Knoxville and the surrounding areas offer.

 She currently produces art in various mediums often focusing on the landscape and topography of East Tennessee as well as current issues.

Neranza additionally is a Visitor Services Representative for the Knoxville Museum of Art.

Oil on Canvas with articles on various corporation and media spins ranging from the health care industry (Forbidden Cures) to alternate forms of energy (Tidal Power, The Joe Energy Cell, The Tesla Coil, Pendulums & Weights, and Solar Power). Created for A1LabArts group show with the theme “X-Censored” in October 2006 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Details

Neranza Blount created video using words given to her for a collaboration project with artists Shirley Brown, Annamaria Gundlach and Denise Stewart-Sanabria. Project was performed at the Emporium, Knoxville, Tennessee in May 2006.
